Anaheim Ducks forward Patrick Eaves has come a long way since his rookie season. Not just through his play, but also his facial hair.

The 33-year-old kicked off his rookie season with the Ottawa Senators by scoring 20 goals, but ultimately didn’t reach the mark until last season, where he posted 32 goals while playing for the Dallas Stars.

Along the way, Eaves either wanted to experiment with different facial hair lengths or forgot to buy a razor. The Ducks took note of his suspect beards throughout the year, and decided to track them from year-to-year. Check it out, as you’ll see he looks nothing like what his rookie season photo shows.

Lol.

Eaves has recently become a hit on Twitter, as he shared a hilarious photo of rubber ducks on his lawn the morning after he inked a three-year, $9.45 extension with the organization.

Of course, Eaves’ beard ranks among the top in the league. Other players who rival him include San Jose Sharks forward Joe Thronton, his teammate Brent Burns, and Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg, to name a few.

Most players in their 30’s look completely different than when they entered the league, but hardly any look more mature than Eaves.

Does he own the league’s best facial flow?
