For the first time ever, the Vegas Golden Knights participated in free agency on Saturday.

Thanks to the expansion draft and the trades made following it, the Golden Knights essentially had their roster set for the most part ahead of free agency, so it's no surprise they didn't sign any big names on Canada Day.

The Golden Knights' team Twitter account, however, gave fans some friendly free agency Twitter guidelines to help them get prepared for one of the craziest times of the year.

The Golden Knights are new to Twitter, but you can't tell because they act like a franchise that has been around for a long, long time.

The guidelines from Vegas are very important, too, as fans should steer clear of anyone without a blue checkmark when it comes to breaking news.

Listen to the Knights, don't get fooled by fake Twitter accounts and enjoy the rest of what should be an entertaining offseason.
