The playoffs are just under two days away, meaning for two nights, hockey fans won't be able to watch their sport because no teams are playing.

As much as waiting sucks, it's easier when there's something hockey related to talk about to pass the time, and aside from the intriguing opening round matchups, the hockey world will probably be talking about what's happening in Los Angeles over the next couple of days.

Monday night, the Kings cleaned house and added a pair of Los Angeles legends to their front office in the form of Luc Robitaille and Rob Blake.

Ever since the Kings were eliminated from playoff contention, Darryl Sutter and Dean Lombardi's names were in the rumour mill as far as firings were concerned, but the fact that both were fired took the hockey world by surprise.
