The IceHogs hosted their annual Pucks and Paws Night on Friday and there were plenty of dogs from local animal shelters on-hand for the game.

The first 1,500 fans who showed up to the game received a plush โ€˜Otisโ€™ dog as part of the promotional night, but the best treat of all took place during the first intermission.

Despite feeling a little down after their teamโ€™s performance in the opening frame, the frowns were quickly turned upside down as the team held a wiener dog race on the ice.

Just like last year, Darby came out on top in the wiener dog race and went home as the champion.

This is definitely one of the best types of in-game entertainment and weโ€™re all for more teams jumping on this bandwagon.
