Most teams in the NHL have a post-game locker room tradition after big wins to reward the player who proved to be the hero in the contest. The Arizona Coyotes have a championship belt, the Montreal Canadiens have a boxing robe, the Calgary Flames have a fireman helmet, the Washington Capitals have an Honest Abe, the Detroit Red Wings have a shovel, the Columbus Blue Jackets have a kepi, and the Winnipeg Jets have a pilot helmet.

After the Jets 5-4 victory over the Blue Jackets on Thursday night, the pilot helmet went to Eric Comrie, who made 35 saves in his NHL debut. As always, the pilot helmet was hysterical to look at during post-game interviews.

Taking part in your first ever post-game NHL interview with a giant pilot helmet and goggles on is amazing. This is a night Comrie will never forget.
