One of our favourite hockey moments in NHL history has been recreated by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The original photo of Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr was taken in 1992 after the Penguins won back-to-back cups in ’91 and ’92. With the hilarious mullets and young faces of two of the game’s greats, people have gravitated to it for years.

Now, with the Penguins winning back-to-back cups once again, they had Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin replicate the photo.

It’s perfect.

The only thing that could have put it above and beyond is if the Penguins two superstars had mullets like their predecessors. However, fear not, when the Penguins originally won the cup this season, we already worked up one of those.
