The NBA rules Christmas day, placing many of the season’s marquee matchups on the day that every sports fan is looking for something to watch.

Today, the match up of the season was the first rematch between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers and it lived up to the hype. Much like last year’s NBA Final, the game looked all but wrapped up for the Warriors, who had a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter. Again, much like last year’s series, the Cavs stormed back and – guess who – Kyrie Irving nailed the dagger to win the game.

Of course, this gave NBA fans everywhere flashbacks of last year’s epic championship matchup and they reacted in a similar fashion.

It was a rough Christmas for the Warriors, who also had to deal with the Cavaliers trolling before the game.

The two teams meet again on January 16 in the New Year, but many expect them to meet again in the Finals. Right now, they’re the best matchup to watch in the NBA.
