Last night in Las Vegas, the Route 91 Harvest Festival was taking place at the Las Vegas Village and Festival Grounds. The event was interrupted by a heavy gunfire from an attacker in a nearby Casino.

To this point, 58 people have been confirmed dead and over 500 injured. The events have shaken people across the world and have hit the sports community hard. 

With Vegas having a new sports team in the area, many wondered about the safety of their team and staff, but they made sure to let everyone know that they were okay. They also annoucned that their fan fest was cancelled and the players will instead be helping out in the community in their spare time.

On top of that athletes from every many sports around North America shared their thoughts on the tragic events.

Of course, this senseless act of violence is one of many in recent years and many people want to find a way to help. In events like this, nearby hospitals are always struggling to keep up with the blood loss of all the victims, so as Vegas-native Jason Zucker recommends, it’s always helpful to donate blood.
