The CFL season is officially one week away from kicking off in Montreal and we couldn't be happier.

What makes us even more excited for the season to begin is the start of the brand new TSN CFL Fantasy game.

If you haven't signed up, don't worry, there's still lots of time to do so and pick your squad for the opening week of the season.

After you sign up, be sure to check out our "Beginner's Guide" to TSN CFL Fantasy which goes over how to play the game and answers any questions you may have.

Now, time to talk value at the most important position on the field for Week 1.

The quarterbacks are the highest-priced players in TSN CFL Fantasy and rightly so, but you may not want to spend just under $14,000 of your $40,000 salary on one player in Edmonton's Mike Reilly for Week 1.

If you don't want to take that route, here are three value picks you can roll the dice on in Week 1 that have the potential for big weeks and will save you some money that you can then spend on other positions.

Trevor Harris, Ottawa REDBLACKS

Don't let the Calgary Stampeders defence scare you.

Trevor Harris passed for 396 yards and three touchdowns against Calgary at home last season in the only meeting between these two teams in Ottawa in 2016.

Plus, his receiving-corps is outstanding once again and it's finally his team, so for just $9,256, it's worth it to take a chance on Henry Burris' successor who threw five touchdowns against the Stamps in two games last season.

Kevin Glenn, Saskatchewan Roughriders

You might be saying to yourself, "Why in the world would I pick a 38-year-old quarterback who has seen better days?"

The answer to that question is simple, he's got a ton of talent around him in Duron Carter, Naaman Roosevelt and Chad Owens and we love the revenge game narrative.

Glenn played nine games for Montreal in 2016, and although their defence allowed the second-fewest points in the league last season, they lost some key players on the defensive side of the ball (Bear Woods, Winston Venable, Alan-Michael Cash).

Trust in the value of Glenn at just $8,093.

Bo Levi Mitchell, Calgary Stampeders

Speaking of revenge, the CFL's MOP of 2016 can get some Grey Cup revenge in the first week of the season against the REDBLACKS in Ottawa.

In three games (Grey Cup included) against Ottawa last season, Mitchell passed for 1,120 yards, 6 touchdowns and four interceptions (three of them coming in the Grey Cup loss).

The Stampeders averaged 35.6 points per game against Ottawa last season and there's nothing to suggest they won't find success offensively in the first week of the season.

In terms of value, getting the best quarterback in the league for $2,574 less than you would have to spend to snag Mike Reilly is a pretty good deal if you ask us.
