Aaron Judge has had an unbelievable rookie year. Even at a time where people are continually picking on him for his strikeouts (He just broke the record for consecutive games with a K among position players), he has put up surprisingly good numbers.

Many people have pointed to his average since the all-star break as if he’s been plummeting back to earth, but he has been able to maintain a .346 OBP in that time. League average usually hovers between .320 and .340, so he’s still been an above average player at getting on base. On top of all that, the ridiculous power is still there.

Judge has been able to capitalize on what little contact he has made in the second half of the year, smashing seven home runs. And we mean smashing. You may have watched it above,  but to really visualize how far the ball went, look at the view from its landing spot.

Despite what his second half average would have you think, pitchers definitely still dread facing Judge.

It was Judge-ment Day at the 2017 #HRDerby.
