On Friday night in Cleveland, the Golden State Warriors were attempting to go through the entire playoffs undefeated on their way to winning the NBA championship, but a hungry Cavaliers team stopped them, tossed their brooms away, and avoided the embarrassment of getting swept.

Both teams traveled to the Bay Area over the weekend for Monday’s game, and suddenly they were in a very familiar situation. During last year’s NBA Finals, the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead to the Cavaliers, and you best believe this was on the minds of the Warriors team.

On Monday night, the Warriors got their revenge on the Cavs the best way they knew how, doing what they should have done last season, finishing the Cavs off when they had them at 3-1.

After seeing countless reminders in the form of posters, memes, and t-shirts of the 3-1 lead they blew, Warriors fans were pleased to finally be able to take to social media and shove it right back in Cavs’ fans faces.
