Most football fans are pretty familiar with the three professional leagues, the NFL, CFL and Arena Football League. However, there was one league that only lasted for one season, and it was a league like you’ve never seen before, the XFL.
The league was founded by Vince McMahon in 1999, but only ran for one season in 2001. If you missed the XFL or just miss it in general, good news, because there’s an ESPN 30 for 30 on the way.
Perhaps the league was just way ahead of its time, or perhaps it was just a big fail. Either way, expect ESPN to give you a full access pass to everything XFL in this upcoming documentary that is set to be released in February.
