There’s not much more Canadian than the CFL, and with Week 2 of the season coinciding with Canada’s 150th birthday celebration, what better way to celebrate Canada Day weekend than going to a CFL game? Get outside in the sunshine, tailgate with friends and family, and watch your favourite team play.

If you do happen to be heading to a game this weekend, or even watching the game on TSN while barbequing with the family, the CFL has got your Canada Day apparel covered.

With a uniquely Canadian game like the CFL, and on the most Canadian weekend of the year, the league wanted to celebrate “Legendary Canadian” players from every CFL team’s history.

The featured Canadian players include:

Montreal: Peter Dalla Riva
Ottawa: Bill Hatanaka
Hamilton: Rocky DiPietro
Toronto: Pinball Clemons
Winnipeg: Chris Walby, Doug Brown
Calgary: Sugarfoot Anderson
Edmonton: Normie Kwong, Don Getty
Saskatchewan: George Reed
BC: Lui Passaglia
The footballs will also look extra Canadian this weekend, with a Canada 150 logo and red laces.

Enjoy all the action this weekend, starting with a Grey Cup rematch of last weeks rematch on Thursday Night Football, and capping it all off on Canada Day when the Saskatchewan Roughriders invite the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as their guests to a housewarming party at Mosaic Stadium.
