Marc-Andre Fleury is now a Vegas Golden Knight, but over the weekend he had a chance to celebrate his last year as a Pittsburgh Penguin.

This is Fleury’s third day with the Cup in his career, having also won the prize in 2009 and 2016, but it clearly doesn’t get any less special. The day just happened to be Fleury’s daughter’s second birthday, and he spent the day at the Ronald McDonald House in Montreal according to NHL.com.

Still, he was travelling around town all day with the cup and it’s clear how important it is to him, because it was strapped into his front seat as if he never wanted it to leave.

What a great photo. It’s so casual, but it’s also hilarious that it’s sitting shotgun. The Stanley Cup doesn’t take a back seat to anyone, including possibly the Keeper of the Cup. We’re not sure if they took separate cars to this gas station, but if they didn’t that must’ve been an odd ride.

It was probably even weirder for anyone who pulled up beside Fleury, to randomly see the Stanley Cup shining down at you from one car over.

It’s definitely better care than they took of it at the Penguins party, where the Cup got tossed in the pool.
