The Winnipeg Jets have some of the most passionate hockey fans in not only the NHL, but in Canada as well. So how does one stand out in a sea of committed hockey fans? By wearing a fighter pilot helmet during games, and not even thinking to take it off while sipping a cold one.

Monday, the Jets took on the Oilers and managed to get their first win on the season, defeating Edmonton 5-2 on the road. It can be tough to win on the road in the NHL, especially against a team with an offence as potent as the Oilers. But if one thing can help tilt the ice to favour the road team, it's diehard away fans. This man spotted wearing a fighter pilot helmet with his shield down is the definition of a diehard away fan.

The fan, who goes by the name of the "Newmanizer" has been a stalwart at Jets games for years now, attending games in his signature fighter pilot helmet, showing that he's both awesome and committed to his team.

Saturday, the Newmanizer ran into another set of notable superfans while in Calgary, snapping a picture with the 'Traveling Jagrs.' Of course, that wasn't the only surprise on the night for the Jagrs, as they also got the chance to meet the REAL Jagr, too.

Unlike Luke Skywalker, the Newmanizer can see with the blast shield down. Here's to hoping we continue to see the Jets superfan all season long with his signature bucket.
