Goalie masks are arguably the most unique piece of hockey equipment in sports.

Unlike a regular player’s head gear, a goaltender’s can feature unique artwork that reflects his/her personality and a glimpse of what their interests are. This summer, numerous NHL goaltenders have revealed the helmet that they will be dawning in the upcoming season.

Today I have the honor to unleash the new Toronto Maple Leafs mask for my friend Frederik Andersen💪🏻🍁. The design is a direct continuation based on his previous Toronto mask🚀. A clean cut vintage styled mask created in hockey textiles… The textiles creates the design with the leafs on the sides🍁🎨. I just love the challenge to always try come up with new design ideas, every single new mask I paint is always the one and only🤓. And when you come closer to the design you will discover more and more details and it transforms into a Storyteller mask📕 in front of your eyes👀. And for sure all the DaveArt Trademark Super FX✨ is unleashed all over the bucket… Thanks Frederik! 🙏🏻 @frederikandersen31 @mapleleafs #DaveArt @bauergoalie #nhl @nhl #DaveArtTheMaskNerd 🤓 #DaveArtTheCradleOfCreativity @bauerhockey

Vancouver Canucks 2014, 36th overall pick Thatcher Demko decided it was his turn to get in on the action, and shared his awesome new mask on Twitter. At first glance, it seems like an ordinary helmet with some pretty cool artwork. The main kicker though, is what’s on the back. The gentlemen featured on it look awfully familiar.

Unreal.

Considering Demko is 22, it’s no surprise that these guys made the cut. Any millennial would agree that Step Brothers has been a classic since it was released in 2008.

The San Diego native enjoyed an impressive season with the AHL’s Utica Comets last season, posting a 22-17-1 record with a 2.68 goals against average. If all goes well, he should bring Brennan and Dale with him to the NHL in the near future.
