PK Subban is an exciting player, and many NHL fans were pumped up when they thought he scored the Stanley Cup Final opening goal – we just didn’t expect many Pens fans to be.

Reddit user “MoMerry” noticed that after PK Subban was initially thought to have scored, there was a peculiar moment behind the Predators bench. As the Predators’ bench jumped in excitement, a fan in a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey got caught up in the excitement and started cheering themselves. There are many theories on what happened in the clip that we’re about to show you, but we’ll let you watch it on your own first.

Now, there are a couple possibilities in what happened in this moment:

1)She has the eye of an eagle

2)This is an all yellow Stanley Cup Final, so things can get a little confusing

3)PK Subban is just too exciting

The fourth, and our own submission, is that it’s easy to see the bench jump up and get caught up in the excitement. We’ve all looked away from the TV heard a goal horn and have a split second of cheer hit us for a second, only to realize you’re cheering for the away team (We realize Nashville is the away team, but we are particularly susceptible to cheering when hearing a horn).

Either way, both of them were likely cheering at the end of the game, as Pittsburgh emerged as victors.

#Penguins take Game 1 despite only putting up 12 shots on net.
