The NHL season is officially over, and for 28 fan bases that weren’t watching their favourite team play in the Stanley Cup, the excitement has just begun.

This summer is expected to be one of the busiest in recent years, with one major move already being made (Drouin to the Habs). Add in the expansion draft and the beginnings of the Vegas franchise, it should be a very interesting couple months.

With that said, before all the festivities start, we thought that we’d look back at the 2016-17 NHL season through the lens of one of our most popular series of this season, Thumb League. Thumb League is a video series we created to have some fun with the NHL season using footage pulled from NHL 17 the video game and we can think of no better (Faster) way to recap the storylines of the season than through an original rendition of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire”.
