On Friday, EA Sports revealed that Tom Brady will grace the cover of Madden 18, which is set to be released in late August.

A member of the New England Patriots will be featured on the cover of the game for the second straight season, but Pats fans aren’t too excited about that feat considering what happened to Rob Gronkowski last season.

The main reason why Patriots fans are so unhappy about their quarterback being named the cover athlete for this year’s game is simply because of the ‘Madden Curse’, which has affected nearly every single Madden cover athlete over the years.

However, there’s one person in particular who doesn’t believe in the ‘Madden Curse’ and is excited about this year’s cover. That person is Tom Brady.

If Patriots fans were feeling uneasy about Friday’s announcement, they can breathe a little easier now knowing that their quarterback doesn’t believe in curses and proved it by breaking a mirror and walking under a ladder in his Facebook video.

If there’s one player who can beat the curse it’s Tom Brady, but anything is possible since he’ll be 40-years-old next season.
