Now that July 1st has come and gone, the NHL offseason has pretty much slowed down to a complete stop.

Essentially all of the big name free agents (aside from Jagr) have been signed and we don't expect any earth-shattering trades to be made at this point in the summer.

That said, this is sports, after all, and anything is possible.  Plus, there are still solid unrestricted free agents out there that haven't been signed and are waiting for the right deal to come around.

Obviously the NHL, like most leagues, is a "what have you done for me lately" or a "what can you do for me in the future league", so with that in mind, we ranked the top 6 unrestricted free agents still on the market by their point total from last season.

6. Matt Cullen, 31 points

The Penguins want Cullen back for one more year, but the 40-year-old is now a three-time Stanley Cup champion and could easily retire and ride off into the sunset.

For now, though, he hasn't officially retired, so he's number six on this list.

5. Brian Gionta, 35 points

Gionta's best days are behind him, but the 38-year-old clearly can contribute a little bit in on the offensive end of the ice and he's a great leader.

4. Andrei Markov, 36 points

It doesn't look like Markov will be back with the Habs, but the 38-year-old can help a team looking for improvement on the power play.  Plus, he averaged just over 21 minutes of ice time a game last season.

3. Mike Fisher, 42 points

Right now, Mike Fisher is just enjoying the summer with his family.

Like Matt Cullen, he hasn't made a decision about his future yet, but after making it to the Cup final with Nashville last season, he may just want to make one more run at it.

2. Jaromir Jagr, 46 points

Yes, Jaromir Jagr is still a free agent, and it's really disappointing that that's the case.

A 45-year-old that can still produce at a high level offensively, though, should be able to find a home before the beginning of the season.

1. Thomas Vanek, 48 points

Vanek is the youngest player on this list (33) and he's coming off of a pretty productive season.

Of these six players, you have to think Vanek has the best chance of being signed based on his age and his ability.
