The BC Lions managed to snap their three-game losing skid at home against the Montreal Alouettes on Friday night, but the victory came at a price.

In the team’s first offensive series of the game, 33-year-old quarterback Travis Lulay suffered what appears to be a torn ACL in his right knee and was forced to leave the game.

Fearing their teammate just suffered the worst possible injury, the rest of Lulay’s Lions teammates stepped up and picked up a big victory over the Als for him.

Other players around the league who were watching the game knew it didn’t look good and reached out to Lulay to show their support.

Early Saturday morning, the Lions quarterback shared a heartfelt message with fans and the rest of the league through his Twitter account thanking them for all their support over the past few hours.

Other players around the league have reached out to him since his tweet and are hoping he can get back onto the field as soon as possible.

The team plans on re-evaluating Lulay over the weekend and expect to find out the news by Monday.
