We’ve seen a lot of incredible new goalie masks get revealed over the past month or so and there’s still plenty more on the way before regular seasons start getting underway across North America.
Usually we share NHL goalie or prospect masks with you, but this one comes to us courtesy of Zach deGraves, a goalie for the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings.
The mask was designed by Friedesigns, a custom goalie mask painting company based out of Calgary, and the entire right side of the cage is dedicated to Family Guy character Peter Griffin.
Griffin’s shirt features the Vikings’ logo on it, while the top of the mask and the left side of the mask includes the team’s logos.
Perhaps deGraves was influenced by Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Peter Budaj who has had quite a few masks in the past that have featured The Simpsons’ Ned Flanders.
