UPDATE: Thankfully, Neuvirth is alert and awake after collapsing and being stretchered off the ice in the game versus the Devils Saturday night.

Hockey fans in Philadelphia and around the world watching the Flyers and Devils witnessed a scary incident Saturday night.

During a stoppage of play in the first period, Flyers goalie Michal Neuvirth collapsed in his crease.

Panic immediately set in on the Philadelphia bench as they saw Neuvirth down on the ice.

Thankfully, Neuvirth left the ice conscious on a stretcher.

The hockey world also sent their best wishes to him after hearing about the incident.
