With any brand new franchise in the National Hockey League, there are fresh, new franchise records to be broken. They're actually more like "firsts" rather than records, but nevertheless enjoyable to acknowledge and have a little fun with.

As we're sure you've heard, the Vegas Golden Knights signed their second player in team history recently, inking highly regarded forward Vadim Shipachyov.

The forward notched two goals in Russia's 6-3 victory over Germany in the World Hockey Championship on Monday, and the Golden Knights wanted to let their fans know of the record he broke in doing so.

We can almost guarantee Shipachyov had no idea he was breaking a record when he scored two goals for Russia on Monday, but congratulations are in order nonetheless.

In case you're curious, here's the line Shipachyov will be playing on for the Golden Knights.
