Sunday, the real MVP showed up on the set of ESPN's First Take to defend her son, Kevin Durant.

Following Durant's polarizing decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors, Stephen A. Smith criticized the star guard, stating that it was the "weakest move" he had ever seen from a superstar. Smith and Durant have had a rather tumultuous relationship ever since the ESPN host made the comment, but KD wasn't the only Durant who didn't appreciated the harsh words. Before Game 2, KD's mother, Wanda Durant, appeared on First Take and addressed Smith's hot take. Smith was not on set, as he has taken time off following the death of his mother earlier in the week.

"Who are you, Stephen A., to come at my boy like that?" Wanda continues to show why she's earned the title of 'real MVP.' As for whether or not KD has been feeling the pressure of performing in the NBA Finals with the brightest spotlight imaginable, quite clearly it hasn't bothered the guard, as he dropped in 38 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds in Game 1.
