If you weren’t already aware, we’re pretty avid gamers on the BarDown staff, so when we get an opportunity to play a game early, we’ll jump at it.
EA Sports NHL is currently running a Closed Beta for NHL 18 and they were nice enough to hook us up with one of the codes. There’s a lot of new stuff to try out this year, with through the legs dangles and an arcade-style 3-on-3 game getting involved, so we were pretty pumped to try it out.
The stream starts at about the 20 minute mark, so make sure to skip ahead.
We’ll be playing the game plenty more as we get closer and closer. If you’re not sure about the moves that we were trying to nail down in the stream you can see them a bit better in some of the trailers that have been released in recent weeks.
