International hockey tournaments make for some pretty interesting relationship turns, as NHL teammates become opponents, and former foes turn into friends when it comes time for players to represent their country.

Friday, Canada opened up their 2017 IIHF World Championship campaign versus the Czech Republic. Midway through the first period, Matt Duchene got tangled up with Radko Gudas. That's when Glaude Giroux sprang into action to break things up. By the time Giroux arrived, Gudas had moved on to Nathan MacKinnon, and when he skated in to share a few words with his Flyers teammate, he was met with a surprising glove to the face.

That's going to make for a bit of an awkward conversation between Gudas and Giroux. But honestly, both players likely fully understand that relationships change when players put on their respective country's jersey. So don't be surprised if this is a total non-issue between the two Flyers teammates.
