Wayne Gretzky was on the Simpsons on Sunday and while it would be exciting to be on such a successful show no matter what, it was a short-lived appearance.

Gretzky was part of a Winter Super Team that included Santa, Jack Frost and the Abominable Snowman. He then had one line: “He’s got a gun!”

So, apparently that line took just about as long as it sounds – Gretzky says it only took him 10 seconds to do the recordings for the show. However, LA traffic made the entire experience . When speaking with Christopher Heine from  AdWeek, this is how he described the experience:

“It took me an hour-and-a-half to drive there, and I had one line. It took me 10 seconds, and then it was an hour-and-a-half drive to get home. So this was a real big favor. (Laughs.)”

He is The Great One, so his time is far more valuable than ours, but three hours in traffic or not, appearing in the Simpsons is worth it.
