Before both the National Hockey League and National Football League saw Las Vegas as a possible team landing spot, the Canadian Football League had a franchise there. Of course, the CFL American expansion was short-lived, and the Las Vegas Posse were gone in the blink of an eye.

The Posse roster featured a promising, young rookie quarterback by the name of Anthony Calvillo, but that's really all they had.

Saturday is of course April Fools, and the @CFL Twitter account announced a Posse throwback jersey night for the upcoming season. We understand it's an April Fools joke, but immediately needed it to become a reality.

Since Calvillo played for the Posse, we nominate the Montreal Alouettes to be the team to rock these wonderful throwback jerseys.

Better yet, one weekend of the CFL season can be dedicated to the short-lived American expansion in the CFL, and every team can choose an American jersey to wear.

We imagine most teams would want to be the Baltimore Colts...for obvious reasons...

Actor and CFL fan Colin Hanks even got in on the conversation...
