If you're having a conversation about the best defensive catchers in baseball, you can't have that conversation without including Yadier Molina of the Cardinals.

At the age of 34, the 8-time Gold Glove winner is still as good as anyone in baseball, and Friday night he reminded everyone of that fact with a wonderful play.

In the 6th inning, the Cardinals walked Devin Mesoraco to load the bases.  After the walk, however, Molina noticed Eugenio Suarez wasn't on third base, so he quickly fired to third for the ridiculous pickoff to end the inning.

The stunned reaction from Suarez says it all.  Molina is always aware of things like that and he always takes advantage.

The out was huge as St. Louis got out of the inning without giving up a run and proceeded to score three more in their half of the sixth to take a 6-1 lead.

They'd eventually win the game 7-5 for their ninth win in their last eleven games.
