Time and time again this season, hockey players have proven why many fans consider them to be the toughest athletes on the planet.

Tuesday night was another example of the toughness hockey players display as Yannick Weber was hit in the face with a puck during the Predators and Penguins game.

Rather than staying down, though, he tried to get the referee to stop play, and when his attempt failed, Weber just got up and continued playing until the whistle finally blew.

Weber and his teammates wanted a whistle, and rightly so as getting hit with a puck in the face is extremely dangerous, but the fact that he just got up and played out the rest of the shift shows the courage he has.

Unfortunately, the Penguins added insult to injury the very next shift.

Nashville ended up losing the game 4-2, but they're still in third place in the Pacific and Weber wasn't seriously hurt, so there are some positives despite the final score.
