Earlier this season, hockey fans were treated to one of the best moments from a referee in a long time.

During a Bruins and Habs game, Wes McCauley made one of the greatest penalty announcements of all-time.

McCauley went viral, and rightfully so, as the call and the punching motions just made the moment perfect.

In terms of the fictional 'penalty announcement of the year' award, though, McCauley's got some company in the form of Francois St. Laurent's call from the Flames and Sharks game Friday night.

The emphasis and inflection in St. Laurent's voice was incredible.  If you had never seen Francois before, you probably wouldn't think he's French-Canadian from that call.

As the playoffs draw near, we hope the calls with extra emphasis continue because at this rate, hockey fans can't get enough of them.
