One intermission at every NHL hockey game is usually dedicated to local youth hockey players. They get the chance to play hockey on the same ice as their favourite players and truly is a dream come true for a lot of them. During every Washington Capitals home game, the team hosts AAA Mites on Ice during the intermission.

Since the Washington Capitals ended the Columbus Blue Jackets’ winning streak at 16 on Thursday night, all the focus was on the Caps and their victory, and rightfully so. However, during the team’s routine Mites game during the intermission, one of the young hockey players scored a big goal for his team and celebrated in the greatest way possible.

It’s too bad we don’t see more NHL players pulling off celebrations like that, because they really are amazing. We also know the NHL wouldn't fine the players for a celebration like, unlike the NFL. This youngster is probably going to watch the replay of his goal and celebration on repeat for the next few days, probably even weeks.
