Anthony Duclair was selected in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers but was dealt to the Arizona Coyotes after one season in the trade that sent Keith Yandle to the Rangers.
The Pointe-Claire, Quebec native went on to play 172 games in a Coyotes jersey before he was dealt to the Chicago Blackhawks following the news that the 22-year-old was unhappy in Arizona.
The 2015 World Junior gold medalist arrived in Chicago on Friday rocked his new threads for the very first time.
He also was very pleased to find out he’ll be sitting next to Jonathan Toews in the locker room as the team had his No. 91 jersey ready to go in his stall.
A lot of fans criticized Duclair for not giving it his all while he was a member of the Coyotes and former Chicago Blackhawk and Coyote Jeremy Roenick wasn’t afraid to speak his mind as he called out Duclair for his lack of effort in Arizona.
Duclair posted nine goals and six assists for 15 points in 33 games this year and is hoping to find his stride from the 2015-16 season with his new club.
