Instagram has become one of the main platforms where people get their news over the years and some athletes and celebrities have really taken advantage of social media in every way possible.

Public figures are always using their social platforms to promote some kind of product, and some of them only use social media strictly for that reason. But what we never hear about is how much money these athletes and celebrities are raking in through their posts and some of their earnings just from Instagram alone will certainly shock you.

According to HopperHQ, the top 7 highest-earning athletes through Instagram are all soccer players and one of them hasn’t played since 2013.

Leading the way is Cristiano Ronaldo, who’s actually the third highest-earning public figure on all of Instagram as he makes $750,000 per post that he shares out to his 133 million followers.

The only other two athletes who even come close to Ronaldo are Neymar, who makes $600,000 per post, and Messi, who makes $500,000 per post. Closing out the Top 10 list are UFC star Conor McGregor ($125,000 per post), Indian cricketer Virat Kohli ($120,000 per post) and Stephen Curry ($110,000 per post).
