Coco Gauff is only 15 years old, but it certainly doesn’t seem like it when she steps onto the tennis court. She’s already won one single’s title on the WTA tour, and many believe that she’s one of the next faces of the sport considering her age and highly developed game so far.
It’s easy to forget that she was born in – and this has been fact-checked – 2004.
Now heading into the 3rd round of another major in the Australian Open, Gauff made her age glaringly clear while talking to the media. In a comical answer, Gauff explains that she’s managed to obtain her learner’s permit, and can’t wait until she’s old enough to get her driver’s license so that she can drive to Chick-Fil-A without her parents.
HOW TEENAGER IS THAT?
It’s incredible what Gauff has been able to do, and it’s impossible not to recognize… even though we’re all likely feeling pretty bad about ourselves and currently reflecting on all of our shortcomings.
Let’s just not compare.
