Shoutout to the Swiss and their increasingly filthy pool of hockey talent.

In recent years, they have started to produce more and more NHL talent. With Roman Josi, Nino Niederreiter, Sven Baertschi, Kevin Fiala and Timo Meier all representing the Swiss in the NHL this year, they’re starting to emerge as one of the stronger hockey countries in the world.

In the most recent World Junior Hockey Championship, the Swiss team even came close to knocking out the eventual gold medal US team in the quarter final round. Their mark on the hockey world should only get bigger in the coming months as Swiss player Nico Hischier is considered a contender for the number one overall pick in the 2017 NHL entry draft.

Tim Kobler, a Swiss player who currently leads the HEO Midget AAA league in scoring, hopes to continue that run of success sometime down the road. He’ll at least get a little more attention after this through-the-legs breakaway goal.

Kobler made the U18 Swiss Ice Hockey team last year, so maybe we’ll even see him in the World Junior tournament sometime soon.

Clearly he has the skill to add some more ridiculous goals to the team’s highlight reel.
