The world is experiencing some of the tougher times in recent history with the COVID-19 virus continuing to leave a mark on our world. While fear and panic are certainly at an all-time high, it is also a time when our world comes together is a strange way. There’s more people looking out for one another, and trying to help each other out during tough times.

We’ve been so happy to see athletes from across the sports world help out by way of donations. Some are to victims of the flu, other donations are to the facility workers that are temporarily out of a job with sports suspended.

And then there’s Drew Brees.

Brees has always been a massive philanthropist, and every time we think he can’t possibly be a better guy than he already is, he tops it. Brees signed a 2 year/$50 million contract this offseason, and on Thursday he and his wife Brittney announced that they’d be donating 10% of that contract to various charities around the state of Louisiana.

Just an incredible gesture from the 41-year-old pivot. If karma does exist, the New Orleans Saints should buckle up for quite a season. After all, the addition of Emmanuel Sanders solidifies them as one of the top offences in the league.

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor.
