LeBron James will be a free agent this summer, and fans of teams from all around the league have already geared up their recruiting efforts. Billboards were posted in Cleveland and Los Angeles, pitching LeBron on the Cavaliers and Lakers respectively, and even in Toronto, Raptors fans have bought ad placement in the subway system.

Now, joining these cities is Portland... with an interesting twist on their sales pitch to LeBron:

You see, the genius in pitching one of the greatest players of all time on being your third option is that it clearly signals that the Trail Blazers have two even better historical greats just waiting to form a Big Three. The top three basketball players of all-time, you ask? Easy: Michael Jordan, Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. There's no way that LeBron can possibly turn this down.

Yeah. It seems safe to say that the Trail Blazers don’t have high hopes of getting LeBron. Life can’t be easy with about $40 million in yearly salary committed to, uh, Evan Turner, Meyers Leonard and Moe Harkless, but, hey, at least Blazers fans are having some fun with it.

And isn't that the best free agency pitch of all? Quality of life, baby.
