Pittsburgh Penguins’ Sidney Crosby and Colorado Avalanche Nathan MacKinnon are both from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. The two also have a similar, and very unique work ethic when it comes to the way they train.

Both Crosby and MacKinnon have incredibly short offseasons, getting back to work as quickly as possible.

We don’t know if their work ethic has anything to do with where they’re from, but where they’re from allows them to go back to Nova Scotia for the summer, and still take part in high level, NHL caliber workouts together.

On Thursday morning, the two NHL stars were spotted in a Halifax, Nova Scotia park working out, and later that day the Penguins’ Twitter account and PensTV came out with a full video detailing their workout:

Crosby has been working out with world-class strength and fitness trainer Andy O’Brien ever since 2002, and could be seen in this very location during the summers when he was 14 years old.

All this time later, three-time Stanley Cup champion Crosby is back at the bottom of Citadel Hill ready for another intense training session, these days joined by MacKinnon.
