Sports cards have been selling for RIDICULOUSLY high prices lately. A LeBron card recently sold for $1.8 million and low and behold, we already have a new record to report!

Darren Rovell reported on Monday that a Giannis card was purchased for… wait for it… $1.812 MILLION by ALT, the same company that purchased the previous LeBron James $1.8 million record holder just six weeks ago. The card features the NBA Logoman patch from a jersey Giannis wore during his rookie season.

Wow. Must be nice to have enough dough to drop $1.8 million on a rookie card… TWICE!

Giannis is a two-time MVP, but… shouldn’t a LeBron rookie card be priced higher right now?! An MJ rookie card sold for FAR less at an auction back in May, before a Mike Trout card was sold for $900,000 shortly after.

A piece of cardboard with a piece of jersey sounds great and all, but a huge house and multiple sports cars does, too.
