The NHL is celebrating its 100th year this season, proving that hockey has been around for a long time. During this time, it has gone through quite the evolution when it comes to style and safety. While equipment has become more protective, and generally looks sleeker than what they used to play with, it is hard to argue that there wasn’t an element of class that came with the old-time hockey. Leathery equipment and the lack of helmet is a look that we likely won’t see again, unless you happen to find yourself in Montreal during the WRG Classic.

The WRG Classic is facilitated by What’s Really Good Magazine, and the purpose of it is basically look as classy as possible. With prizes awarded to the winning team, as well as the “Most Distinguished Chap or Lady”, hockey players and fans showed up in their most dapper outfits.
