For Las Vegas residents, ice hockey has finally arrived.

After four preseason road outings, the Golden Knights finally headed home for their first match at T-Mobile Arena. The game is a 10:00 PM ET showdown against their division foe Las Angeles Kings.

To get fans into the spirit of the game, the New York New York Las Vegas Casino and Hotel invited their guests to join them at their pre-game festivities and later watch the game. Rather than just sticking fliers up in the lobby of the hotel, the staff made sure to deliver actual letters to their guests.

It's clear that the city is taking their newest hockey team very seriously, and the team is sure to drastically change its feel over the coming years. With the Raiders scheduled to come to town in the near future, 'LV' is suddenly becoming quite the sports city.

The hype appears to be big now, so we can't even imagine what it will be like ahead of the team's regular season opener on October 10th against the Arizona Coyotes. We're sure every hotel in the city will be sending out some sort of promotion on that day, too.
