The Carolina Hurricanes didn’t have the most ideal start to the season. Playing the New York Islanders at home, the ‘Canes suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss to spoil their first home game.

On Sunday, they weren’t going to let another New York team ruin their fan’s nights. The Hurricanes put up 8 goals on the Rangers to come away with their first home victory, after which they surprised everyone with a very unique salute to the crowd.

Not sure exactly what was going on here, but apparently Justin Williams was leading the way. It’s always fun to see a team adopt a little personality, and the fans love it too!
