The Winnipeg Jets made history on Friday night by winning their first playoff series in the second installment of the Winnipeg Jets’ franchise.

The Jets crushed the Wild in Game 5 to take the series 4-1. Back in 2015, the Jets were swept by the Anaheim Ducks after getting their team back four years before. Seeking their first series win, the Jets would miss the playoffs the next two seasons before getting back in post-season.

With the Vegas Golden Knights’ reaching another height by doing the improbable and sweeping the Los Angeles Kings, the Jets were one of only two NHL teams to never win a playoff series.

In fact, those same two teams were the only sports teams in all of North America’s four major sports leagues to never win a playoff series.

Can you guess which club it is, WITHOUT USING GOOGLE!

The team without a playoff series win, who can actually change this quirky fact with a first round series win in these playoffs is…

The Columbus Blue Jackets!

The Jackets have only made the playoffs three times – this season, last year where they were eliminated by the Penguins, and way back in 2009, where they were swept by the Detroit Red Wings.

Can the Jackets hold off the Capitals and advance to the second round for the first time in franchise history? We’ll know at the latest by Wednesday, April 25th, the day of Game 7.
