Two of the NHL’s hottest teams met in Washington on Friday night as the Montreal Canadiens went up against the Capitals.

After a scoreless first period, things got a little more intense in the second period after Alex Ovechkin completely ran over Jonathan Drouin and the Habs responded in a massive way.

Following the game, Canadiens head coach Claude Julien confirmed that Drouin did indeed go through the league’s concussion protocol after the hit, but  Ovi had a different kind of response when he was asked about the play.

The two teams don’t meet again until January 27 in Montreal, but we’re guessing this hit is still going to be fresh on the minds of the Canadiens two months from now.
