Alex Ovechkin decided to skip the NHL All-Star Game this season in order to get an extended break before the unofficial second half of the regular season and he appears to be making the most of his time off.
Since the Washington Capitals don’t return to action until Friday night, a game which Ovechkin can’t even play in because of his recent one-game suspension, it means extra time on vacation for the seven-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner. We’re not sure where he decided to take his vacation, but he’s clearly having a blast swimming with the dolphins.
Ovechkin probably isn’t used to dealing with something that can move a lot faster than he can, but he seemed to enjoy every second of it and even got some love from one of the dolphins.
Don’t worry, Caps fans. Ovechkin is all good after swimming with the dolphins as he showed off his moves on the dance floor shortly after he got out of the water.
Through 50 games this season the 33-year-old has a league-high 37 goals to go with 20 assists for 57 points.
