The St. Louis Blues put together one of the greatest comebacks in the history of sports last season as they went from dead last in the NHL at the start of 2019 and capped off the hockey season as Stanley Cup champions. No one will ever know what sparked the turnaround, but one of the key contributors was their good luck charm, Blues superfan Laila Anderson.

Laila lives with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, a life-threatening condition where a patient’s immune system attacks the host’s tissues and organs. Now completed her treatment, she was able to enjoy every last moment of the Blues’ historic run.

Less than 24 hours after the members of the Blues received their gorgeous Stanley Cup champions rings at a special event, Alexander Steen and Colton Parayko made a surprise visit to Laila’s home, where they gifted her a Stanley Cup champions ring of her own.

Laila couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her two friends standing at her doorway and she was even more blown away when she realized the reason they were visiting.

The Blues honoured Laila by adding her name to their ring, but they went one step further by showing up at her house and presenting her with a ring of her own.

Best friends with matching rings! Thank you @stlouisblues 💙💛🏆
