Alexander Radulov became a fan favourite in Montreal this season, so many fans were hoping to see him re-sign with the team quickly – but there has been a slight delay.

He now sits third on TSN’s Top 30 UFA list for this season, but that could change pretty quickly, thanks to another deal he completed off the ice. Apparently he wanted to be fully divorced before he felt free to sign any extensions with the Habs.

We understand wanting to sort your personal life out, but perhaps it’s just the way that the reporter phrased it that has caught hockey fans’ attention.

His wife, Daria Radulova (Dmitrieva) is a former athlete as well. She is a gymnast that won a Silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
