We all remember that infamous play at the end of Super Bowl XLIX, when the Seattle Seahawks threw an interception instead of just feeding Marshawn Lynch at the 1-yard line.

You would think that teams would just know better by now than to look off Beast Mode on the goal line, and yet, on Sunday, Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders still overthought it, instead throwing an interception right into the hands of a defender in the endzone.

Let’s check the statistics! Are teams actually finding any success in the passing game when defenses expect them to run with Lynch?

Nope! Just feed that man the ball. It should be pretty simple. How has this happened to Lynch four times?!

Fortunately, Lynch is used to this treatment from his quarterbacks in obvious run situations.

The best part of this all is that the internet dug up an old clip from when the Raiders acquired Lynch in which Carr gets a little jab in on Russell Wilson, specifically saying that he would never look off Lynch from the 1. Well, that seems to be going well for him.
